The founder of Marmen receives an honorary doctorate from the University of Trois-Rivières (UQTR)

Once again, Mr. Fernand Pellerin, founder of Marmen, was awarded for the great and visionary businessman he has always been throughout his career. Yesterday, the University of Trois-Rivières (UQTR) officially handed to Mr. Pellerin a honoris causa doctorate from the University of Québec.

Mr. Pellerin significantly contributed to the economical development of the Mauricie region. His business vision, exemplary human values and innovative management methods distinguish him among many business leaders.He has also actively contributed to our society progress with R&D investments in developing renewable energies. He brought an exceptional advancement to the wind power industry in the province of Québec. Because of his vision and actions, Marmen now provides its services to companies operating in diverse markets such as, wind power, hydropower, steam and gas turbines, oil and gas production, mining, aviation, steel, aluminum plants and pulp and paper.

Mr. Pellerin is also a great donor for multiple charity causes and has given significantly to the UQTR Foundation throughout the years.

This honoris causa doctorate is handed by the UQTR to great laureates whom career paths represent educational values promoted by the University. All laureates made an exceptional contribution to our society either on scientific, social, cultural, artistic or humanitarian level.
