Trois-Rivières, February 24, 2012. The Premier of Quebec, Jean Charest, made a stop in Trois-Rivières as part of his 'NORTH CAPE' tour of the Mauricie region. He took the opportunity to visit our facilities. It is in a very friendly atmosphere, he was able to speak with Marmen’s management and employees.

For the occasion, the Premier was accompanied by Julie Boulet, Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity and Minister responsible for the Mauricie region, as well as Danielle St-Amand, Member of the National Assembly for Trois-Rivières and Jean-Paul Diamond, MNA for Maskinongé.

At the conference following his visit, the Premier said that he 'was blown away by what he saw at Marmen.' He continued his praise by commenting that: 'Marmen is one of the finest companies in Canada and is among the best in the world.'

For Marmen, which has worked in the mining sector since it was founded in 1972, the “Plan Nord” project is very promising and could certainly be a catalyst for creating numerous jobs at our facilities in Trois-Rivières.
